A day out with friends - OWLCATRAZ

Image
Had a great day out with Sarah and Bailey at Owlcatraz, which is native bird and wildlife park just south of Palmy.  In this layout I included the info pamphlet.     I used Kaiser papers and prima flowers in this payout.

High 5 for public holidays

Love public holidays,  we get 11 days public holidays in New Zealand and 1 regional holiday (Anniversary Day)  and Wellington Anniversary is today.  So we have had a palmy 27 degrees, in the shade today.  The kids took the temperature on the deck and it was a warmish 49 Degrees.  (Oh for an Ozone layer).  So the kids spent most of the day in the pool and me inside keeping a watchful eye on them as I scrapped the day away.  Here is one of the layouts. I used mist on white Cardstock for the base and scrap pieces for the matt.    We spent the afternoon the square on Market day,  we managed to sit down for 10 minutes to have an ice cream and listen to the music.  Tira took this one of Gregor in his old mans hat.       When you are scrapping you do realise that you are often the one that is taken to the photos and therefore not in them.

Pohangina Valley blueberry picking

Over the Christmas break I took the boys,  and a couple of extras, blueberry picking at Pohangina.  After 1 hour and 4 Kgs of berries in the buckets,  we got some great shots and therefore a wonderful opportunity to scrap.  Here is the results of this afternoon session.  I used Creative Imaginations paper,  corrugated board and some misc scrap pieces of paper.  I used some florist wire which I wrapped around a brush and embellished with ribbon, leaves, and flowers together with a Prima nest and a upcycled denim pocket.           Again I hope you enjoy.

My little boy has turned 7

Yes,  A big day for my little Kiwa,  he was 7 on the 16th.  I had the day off and the boys and I did what ever Kiwa wanted to do for the day.   At the end of the day we celebrated with cake and candles.  Of course Kiwa was more interested in the ipod that he had got.   A great event to scrap and here it is.  Fancy pants and Sassafras papers with Stampin up and 7 gypsies embellishments.     Hope you enjoy

Back from holiday

Yes,  there is one thing, amongst many others, that is wonderful about New Zealand and that is that the whole country tends to close down over the christmas period.  Schools close for up to 7 weeks,  Business offices close for a minimum of 2 weeks (most run on skeleton staff until the 14th)  even parliament don't sit again until mid January.  Just wonderful.  So yes I am back at work and back to my crafts which has been sadly lacking since little Kiwa had his tonsils out on the 12th December.   Anyway today I did manage a couple of hours today to open up my latest deliveries from stampin up and also to complete a layout.  Here is the result.  Hope you enjoy.      I used prima papers, flowers and embellishments     These photos were taken on a bike ride that Gregor took the boys on.  Along the way we stopped at what looked like an old band stand that was set back of the road and the perfect place to have a drink stop.
