Nice and simple, just paper and pen.

Easter weekend crafting

The days are getting longer. Daylight savings started over the Easter break and although it was a little cooler than normal we did head down to the beach. No swimming this time so crafted the afternoon away. Here are the are results. I recently started Leisure marching after several years of not doing any marching, so I have started an album and here is my first layout. My brand new boots. A couple of close up photos. And decided that I should add to my stash of cards, in particular cards for the men in my life. I used book pages for the envelopes. Happy crafting J

Upcycling the every day envelope

I still get snail mail from those companies that still like that personal contact with their customers and because I can not bring myself to just recycle the envelope and have decided to make them useful again, at least for a short time or if the person who receives it is like me they will have a junk journal to put it in, for memory sake. Here's what I created. And the process: The envelope..... I washi taped the edges, and scrap matted the front and back of the envelope.... love the envelope window I am going to make a card to go in the envelope. A card that enhances the window, I think. Pinkalicious - Palmerston North

Wow, great day out with Sarah at Pinkalicious. Pinkalicious is a fund raising event for Arohanui Hospice, here in palmy. It is a craft crop, where a couple of hundred paper crafters from all over the Manawatu get together. Card making, Scrap booking and off the page projects are completed throughout the day. There are 9 craft shops at the event each doing 'Make and takes' for any of the attendees who wish to participate. Sarah and I scrapped most of the day with the occasional shopping detour along the way. Here are my results: I was lucky enough to get the public vote for the scrap challenge with this layout. I only had yellow flower so I used glimmer mist to alter the colour. Love these photos. I always wonders why my mirror was always covered in prints on a daily basis, even though I would clean it every day. Then I caught Arahi one morning admiring himself. LOL. What a great day.
