The results of a weekend away with the girls.

Image
Don't you just love getting away with a group of like minded crafter.   I do, and the weekend was absolute fun.  and here is just one of the layout's I crafted. In between jumping into the heated pool and spa.  (someone had too)   I used 2 prima stencils on the background.   This layout was inspired by the butterfly panel on the right hand side.   I loved the richness of the colours of the butterflies   Hope you like it,  pleae leave me a comment I love feedback.  I used modeling paste and mist sprays, inks and paints on the layout  together with some glass glitter. The layout is matted on to card to give some stability and inked around the edges. Happy crafting. I have share this layout with:    Challenge-yourself. Come check the blog out and join in the fun J

The Wonder of Mixed Media Art.

Image
Quick update:  my canvas was choosen as top pick for Creative Artiste Mixed Media challenge #32. Here is my first attempt at mixed media.  I used 2 canvases, Modeling paste, Inks, sprays, gesso, mod podge, dies and paints.  Most of all it was fun.  Here are a couple of close ups.   I love that I could just keep adding until I felt there was enough.    It is a wonderful thing to work in as you can just create and recreate as you like the canvas is never really complete. Even if you hang it on the wall you can take it down and keep adding.  Just a wonderful medium to work with .  Hope you like it.  I certainly like making it.  Love to hear what you think.  I have share this with the following challenge, please come check them out.  Creative Artiste Mixed Media Happy crafting J
