Easter is on it's way.

Image
Yep, only a few weeks until Easter and this year I only need to make one Easter gift for a teacher.  Unfortunatley she will also going to be taking some extended leave so this gift will need to be a little more than an easter gift.  This year I will be making an Easter memory box and journal, so watch this space.   The worse part about easter is getting up to hide the easter eggs before the kids actually get up and then making sure that they manage to found an equal amount.   Last years we place all the found eggs into a basket and then dished them out equally.  I do have one child who doesn't like chocolate, I know!, go figure.  So he usually ends up with other sweets but even then he would prefer a ham and cheese sandwich.  I know what is with that.  8 Year olds! Last years easter egg hunt.

All well now. 4 weeks until Autumn Escape

Yep, it is that time of the year when the kids seem to pick up anything that is doing the rounds but all good now and everyone is fighting fit.  Just under a month now until Autumn Escape  I can't wait.  We have booked every class so it will be a little hectic but worth every minute.  Now busy making sure I have all the photos and materials needed for each class ready to go.   The classes last year were great and this years line up looks pretty good.  Here are just some of the results from last year.            Roll on April.

'Remember when' Album

Yep,  spent the day home with an ill child, so managed to get some crafting done.  Here is the result:   I made the journal from scratch using a double thickness of cardboard. the cover is 8x8, with a 3 inche spine.   I covered the first layer of Cardboard with paper as above.   I then made 1/2 inches pleats on an 8 x7 3/4 piece of black cardstock and  placed this on the inside spine section.       Then I covered 2 x 7 3/4 inche squares with co-ordinating paper and used them as the inside front and back covers. Once this was completed I could start on the album pages.   The inside pages are 7 3/4 x7 3/4.  Each are a double thickness of card.  This is so there are no paper edges rather each card is covered and then 2 pieces attached     Then I basically did a 7 1/2 x 7 1/2 layout and place it in the album:     Hope you like it

Doctor Who layout update

Finally completed the layout.  Hope you like it.   The base paper did start off as a slightly different colour and then I work towards my final base just adding colour and texture paste.
