Easter weekend crafting

The days are getting longer.  Daylight savings started over the Easter break and although it was a little cooler than normal we did head down to the beach.  No swimming this time so crafted the afternoon away.  Here are the are results.

I recently started Leisure marching after several years of not doing any marching, so I have started an album and here is my first layout.   My brand new boots.

A couple of close up photos.

And decided that I should add to my stash of cards, in particular cards for the men in my life.

I used book pages for the envelopes.

Lockdown Project three: card set

For New Zealand it is day 32 of our alert level 4 lockdown.
We are going to alert level 3 midnight on the 27th April.   It has certainly been unprecedented times for everyone.

This coming Tuesday is hopefully the start of getting but to some normality although it will be a diffent type of normality for all.  Schools will only be open for children of essential services but even then many people are choosing to keep children home.

Some small business will be able to open under strict guide lines.
Small steps and we will get there.

OK,  me a long weekend gives me some time to craft.
Hope you like the cards.

Happy crafting

Kiwa and I crafted a sign for the end of our driveway for ANZAC day.
We usually get up just before dawn and go to the centre of town with a few thousand others and commemorate our ANZAC's.
We knew that this year would be a little different being in lockdown so we all went to the end of our driveways at dawn and commemorated with our neighbourhood.  We listened to the service over the radio and stood silent for the last post and the national anthems of NZ and Australia.  You could hear the last post echoing around the city.  Just amazing.

A very moving dawn service.

(And free feijoas for the neighbours and those keeping fit during lockdown.)

Lockdown Project one - Complete

Well  it was a nice relaxing weekend here in Palmerston North, NZ
The weather is just starting to get a little cooler so nice to stay in side and craft.

Here is the finished Junk scrapbook.
I had to change the binding as my first was too small once I had added to the pages.

Hope you like it,

Keep safe everyone in your bubble.

Lockdown scrapbooking - project one

Gosh,  it feels such a long time since I last crafted but last night after a long week of working from home it was time for a wine and to put my feet up.

While relaxing I saw a box that I have started to go thru a few months back, before things got busy, placed in the corner.

So 'time to craft'.

I gathered the box and some recycling yet to be put in the recycling bin and got started.

Not quite sure what I was making but this is what I came up with after 2 hours.

So tonight I will fill the mini book with some kindness quotes.

Watch this space for the completed book.

Keep safe, stay home and happy crafting.
