Lets scrap sketch challenge 1-15-16

Image
Love this sketch challenge from Lets scrap sketches ,  so here is my take on it: I used Bo Bunny papers and embellishments from my recycling stash. I cut down some bamboo skewers for the side panel embellishment  And used home made paper for the scroll embellishment   The origami lady is from a card I was given many years ago. The layout can be folded down to a 12 by 12.  as shown below.   Many thanks LSS this layout was selected as a top pick.   Many thanks Happy scrapping. J

Feeling Sketchy Challenge Sketch #137

Image
Yippee,  4 day weekend and so while the kids are doing their stuff I did some surfing and found a challenge blog called Feeling Sketchy And to keep this years scrap goal on track here is my take on their challenge Sketch #137: I used white and Pink cardstock, with a Kaiser Craft paper,  from the range 'Oh So Lovely'. Embellishments from Stampin up and Kaiser Craft lucky dip.    Hope you like my Anniversary card. Quick update:  This card was selected as one of the FS top picks Many thanks Happy scrapping.  Off for a walk to get the boys away from the computer games for at least an hour.  J .

Make a wish Card

Here is my take on a card challenge from Scrap-with-us Challenge:  Create a card with at least 3 shades of blue and some stars on it. I went with 7 matt layers and use a package card from a star stamp for the actual stars. (Love the 3d effect). Happy scrapping

My precious treasure

Yes, my little man has just 10 years old.  Getting to double digits was something that he was very excited about, but for me my little boy is growing up way too fast.    I love this photo, he had just had a swim in the cold weather and was lying in the hammock on the deck, wrap in his favourite fur blanket.   I created the layout base page on white cardstock which I initially inked with a mixture of golds and greens.  I then machine stitched back and forth across the page and finally stencilled with modelling paste (coloured with the little bit of green ink I have left on the matt).  recycling hint:  I stuck the cardstock onto a prima card that they have as the backing of their stencils, this just gives the layout some stability if being displayed on a stand.  I used 2 different stencils A couple of tags placed behind the photo for journaling.   Hope you like it, happy crafting. 'No day is over if it makes a memory' layout from our annual scrap trip to Waipukurau.

We had yet again another wonderful weekend away scrapping and catching up in Waipukurau. (oh and the All blacks won the Rugby world cup that same weekend) Here is one of the layouts I completed the girls at Sarah Birthday gathering.     I fussy cut out the leaves and  flowers then I used kindy glitter to add same highlights. Nice simple layout.

Layout Design by the very talented Robbi Bell

Went to AE this year and unfortunately I was not feeling that great when I headed off to Taupo.  Was hoping to improve as I got closer to the event but unfortunately it was not the case and it took me a couple of days to fully recover from the bug that I had.  All that aside I did complete some wonderful classes with the very talented Robbi Bell .  Here is one of the beautiful pieces I brought home.  We used papers from  Paper Arts  a New Zealand company. And now framed and on the mantle. Hope you like. Happy scrapping
